Cecile Gerwel Proches is an Associate Professor based in the Graduate School of Business and Leadership (GSB&L), University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in Durban, South Africa. She holds a PhD and a Master of Commerce in Leadership Studies, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Management as well as Industrial and Organisational Psychology. Her teaching, research, and supervisory interests include leadership, organisational behaviour, and change management. Cecile has lectured on several leadership and research modules in the Business School, and has supervised to completion many coursework and research Master’s students, including the MBA, as well as Doctoral students. Cecile has also facilitated various leadership development programmes, and other short courses / executive education. Cecile serves on various committees in the University. She has presented at various national and international conferences, and publishes widely.
